The cowboy Anzac

Charles Robert Campbell,The oldest son of Charles William Campbell and Fanny Campbell, enlisted 19th September 1916 Roma Queensland.  22years 10 months.Occupation station hand, Noorindoo station. Also in his ww1 war service records he lists his occupation as Jockey. Charles served in France in the 49th battalion from 1916 until the end of the war, finally returning home in 1919. He enlisted again in 1942 for WW2, he lied about his DOB as he was a few years to old by then. Charles passed away 21 July 1955 age 61 yrs charleville Queensland.On his death certificate his occupation is listed as Cowboy !Rest in peace cowboy...
