Enlisted at Cassilis, NSW 18/11/1914, Reinforcements 13th Battalion, 10th Field artillery 3/2/15. Embarked HMAT A48 'Seang Bee' on 11/2/15. wounded at gallipoli 7/8/15, gunshot wound to the face. Later served in France. On his way home to Australia he was fatally injured in a train accident 5/12/18, Vaux Andigny, France. Buried at Busigny Communal Cemetery Grave Plot V111, A79. There is a memorial plaque for him in St Columbus Anglican Church, Cassilis, NSW.
