Leonard Stanley Blackwood
Submitted by: Michele Anne Hendrick

You have never been forgotten. Your memory was passed on to me by my Grandmother Adeline Ada Hendrick(Ramsey) whom was your niece. She was the daughter of you favourite sister Annie Blackwood. I was always told you were her favourite little brother, who went off to war. You played a very special part in Great Gran Annies life. She passed your medals onto her eldest daughter Adeline and then onto me her Grand daughter and I will keep your memory and legacy alive, I will never forget the stories of you and you will live on forever. My son Nicholas visited the Canberra memorial with his school on this great 100 year occasion and I have moved your memory onto him. The sacrifice you endured will never be forgotten and your memory will live on forever. Such a tragedy to die at such a young age. Your medals and your memory will be passed onto my children and hopefully to their children. For you are my Great Uncle Leonard. LEST WE FORGET.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
