Corporal Percy William BATTERHAM 300

Corporal Percy Batterham was born at Murrurundi NSW. He was a 25 year old Stockman when he enlisted on the 22nd August 1914. He was previously a member of Inglewood Rifle Club. He was appointed to the 2nd Light Horse  Regiment. He was admitted to hospital in London on the 6th September 1915. He was returned to duty in Egypt on the 2nd February 1916. He was admitted to the 4th Aux. Hospital, Cairo, suffering from Mumps. On the 7th June 1916 he was again admitted to hospital. On the 15th July 1916, his family was advised of his return to Australia per hospital ship "Karoola" on the 7th August 1916.
