The Greatest Man in my Life.
Submitted by: Peter L Rogers

Harold Rogers was my Grandfather. He served in the 30th Battalion in the first world war. He was wounded and sent home. He suffered Shell Shock. They said he would not Walk or Talk again.
He Married raised 2 Sons Leslie who lost his life in the 2nd world war and Harold my Father. He worked all his Life in the Tramways. Starting as a Conductor Driver then Inspector.
His courage to rise above the Trauma of War Inspires me. I wished I could of Learnt more from him.
I wrote a short story of Both my Grandparents titled (The Return Journey) I revisited there home in Elwood as an Adult when the property came up for Auction.  He Lived into his Seventies. Rest In Peace Pop. Love Pete.
