Killed in action,  Western Front France, on 29th July 1916. RIP Reuben. Commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers  Bretonneux, France.

In memory of Private Reuben Woodward Pershouse, born on 27th July 1887 in Gladstone, Queensland. Reuben fought on the Western Front and in the Battle of Pozieres, France, 1916. Son of Alfred and Sarah Pershouse, Murrays Creek, Bundaberg. Unit embarked from Brisbane, Qld, on board HMAT A55 Kyarra on 16th August, 1915. Reuben served in Egypt, Gallipoli and The Western Front. Private Rueben Woodward  Pershouse belonged to the 26 Infantry Battalion, 3rd Reinforcement, and was killed in action on The Western Front, France on July 29th 1916, aged 29 years. Commemorated on the Australian National Memorial wall at Villers  Bretonneux France.
