Sam Smith "Taralga Eight"

Sam (22) was a labourer in the Taralga District, a country boy enlisted at the same time as seven others from the Taralga District. They were known as the Taralga Eight. Of the eight, four were killed and three wounded in action. Ken was wounded in August 1916 in France fighting for his country.
